DON’T MISS GROOTE POST’S FIRST MARKET IN 2016 ON SUNDAY 31 JANUARY
From 10am to 3pm
The Christmas and holiday season has come and gone, but Groote Post’s markets are still going strong!
So head out to the country for the January market. Guests can expect delectable and beautiful country offerings including artisan foods, arts and crafts, as well as homeware and décor, and of course, Groote Post’s well-loved wines. Groote Post’s wines will be available for tasting and purchase, including the delicious Groote Post Rosé which is made exclusively for the monthly markets.
Local, of course, is always lekker in Darling with locals presenting a divine selection of gourmet produce including bread, cheese, mushrooms, charcuterie, wors, sauces, olive oils and more. And a big hit as always will be the popular craft beers from Darling Brew.
As always the market will present a perfect playground for children who will love the rolling lawns, tractor rides, face painting, water-balls and target-shooting to name a few of the activities that will be available.
After browsing through the market, visitors can relax in the shade under the trees enjoying the music that resident DJ, Riaan from Old School Entertainment, has lined up, while tucking into their delicious eats from the market. Groote Post’s award-winning restaurant, Hilda’s Kitchen, will be open as usual, but please note that booking is essential.
Although pets are most welcome – all dogs must be on a leash at all times. Visitors arriving without their dogs on a leash will be given an option to buy one from the SPCA stall or hire one at the information stall.
Entry to the Groote Post Country Market is free of charge. Groote Post Country Markets take place on the last Sunday of every month between 10am and 3pm.
