SWD lost their all-important CSA One-Day Challenge match against the Northern Cape in Kimberley on Sunday and can no longer reach the final.

Batting first, SWD only managed to post a modest total of 129 (all out – 31.3 overs) with lower order batsman, Marcello Piedt (38), the top runs scorer.
Northern Cape were in all sorts of trouble with their score on 54/6 but SWD failed to land knock-out blow as the home side reached the target (130/7) after 31 overs.
Otneill Baartman (4/24), who could not complete his bowling spell due to cramps, was SWD’s top performer with the ball.
SWD is still the log leaders (at 17 points) after completion of their six pool matches.
