The Women’s team of Union Stars (218 all out) on Saturday, retained their title as champions of the SWD Women’s competition after they comprehensively defeated Mossel Bay (101 all out) by 117 runs in the final that was played at the REC Ground in Oudtshoorn.
Their SWD provincial players, Miceala Andrews (77 from 71 balls; 5×4) with the bat and Janet Winster (5/33 from 10 overs) with the ball, were the heroes for the winning team.
