Avis is pleased to announce that it will once again be partnering with the Cape Town Cycle Tour as the official car rental supplier, taking place in Cape Town on the 6th of March 2016.
The Cape Town Cycle Tour is an annual cycle race hosted in Cape Town, South Africa and it is usually 109km long. It is the first event outside of Europe to be included in the International Cycling Union’s Golden Bike Cycle.
The partnership between Avis and The Cape Town Cycle Tour began in 2013 and continues to grow stronger each year. The Avis sponsorship includes a provision of sponsored vehicles during the event, which will also include three lead vehicles.

To add to the support on the day, dedicated Avis Brand Ambassadors will be there to assist in managing the Avis water point for the cyclists ensuring the 35 000 riders are well hydrated.
In addition, this year Avis had added Avis Emergency Bike Repairs to the route. Bike mechanics, dressed in Avis branded overalls and t-shirts, will be readily available to assist along the route.
At the Avis exhibition stand at the race expo, Avis will be running a social media competition whereby one lucky person will win a weekend rental courtesy of Avis Rent a Car.
Race expo visitors are encouraged to visit the Avis stand, get their photograph taken on the Avis branded bicycle displayed at the stand and share it on the Avis social media platforms; Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
