It has been close to three years since the release of Lucy’s debut album and her emergence on the South African music scene. The growth in these years, due to relentless touring and collaborations with various artists, has resulted in a new avenue for the artist – one of colourful soundscapes, dreamy melodies and primal rhythms, while still staying true to her roots of acoustic folk and her honest way with words. Lucy is currently working a new album with The Lost Boys in which she hopes to further explore her growing sound of psychedelic folk laced with dream pop.

Johhanesburg based musician Julian Redpath is a special talent playing his own brand of Ghost Folk. Strongly influenced by the lineage of finger-style guitar playing that takes in Bob Dylan, Nick Drake and Fionn Regan. Julian weaves a spell with his hands and voice that draws the listener deeper and deeper into his tales of love, searching, family and the land of his birth.

The Mail & Guardian describes Julian’s debut full length album “Maiden Light” as “one of the most assured and exemplary folk albums to come out of South Africa in recent memory. An album with broad vision and influence.”

World’s #1 most energetic, uplifting South African cross-over Folk-Rock-

Township-Jive-Blues Band. It’s impossible to listen to Hot Water. To just listen. Because when Donovan Copley, the band’s founder, frontman, and creative heart, starts singing, playing (often his iconic Afri-can guitar), jiving and jumping around stage, backed up by a mix of stellar South African musicians as diverse as the country itself, you can’t sit still… No one does. The music – ‘South African Folk-Rock,’ Copley calls it – layers the sounds of traditional mbaqanga, kwela and maskanda with a more contemporary folk-rock vibe and utterly danceable rhythms, woven through with Copley’s raw, sweet voice and inspiring, almost dreamlike lyrics…
