Prime Circle strip for the Cape

As two take a back seat and three get ready to burn up the Cape, Prime Circle will get hot and heavy in the Western Cape this July when they peel off the musical layers for the Let the Night In – Deluxe Edition – Stripped Down Tour.

The five members of South Africa’s most-loved rock outfit have just returned from a successful tour of clubs and festivals in Germany and Austria, promoting their first official European album release – the deluxe edition of their acclaimed album Let the Night In.

Now, singer-guitarist Ross Learmonth, keyboard player Neil Breytenbach and percussionist Dale Schnettler are heading to the fairest Cape to bring a pared-down but no less sizzling live set to local fans.

Marco Gomes (bass) and Dirk Bisschoff (lead guitar) are sitting out this tour, but will be back in action with the band once the Stripped Down Tour is completed.

Starting in the Karoo town of Prins Albert on 7 July 2016 and making its way through Mossel Bay, Plettenberg Bay and Noordhoek, the trio’s mini-tour will culminate in a memorable performance at the Church on Greenmarket Square in Cape Town on 14 July 2016.

Audiences can expect intimate performances from the three lads as they “strip down” their sound but ramp up the heat.

They’ll be performing a selection of monster hits from the band’s six studio albums that have elevated them to the level of bona fide South African rock superstars over the past 16 years.

Ross, Dale and Neil will be treating Western Cape audiences to highlights from their new release, Let the Night In – Deluxe Edition. The album features the 13 tracks from their 2014 South African Music Award-winning album of the same name, but with four new songs as well as a live, unplugged version of the title track.

Expect to hear the singles Gone and Doors from the album, as well as their current radio single, Ghosts – which is accompanied by a beautiful, haunting video co-directed by Ross himself.
