Make the most of the public holiday on the 3rd of August and indulge in the latest offering to emerge from Lanzerac. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to sample fine wines and delectable food creations when the popular Lanzerac Winemaker Food & Wine Pairing Dinners commence on Tuesday, 2 August (6:30pm).
Join Lanzerac Cellar Master Wynand Lategan and Executive Chef Stephen Fraser for a culinary feast for the senses. Your experience includes canapés, a beautifully presented three course meal, and dishes carefully paired with no less than 12 wines from the Lanzerac portfolio.
Start your evening with a welcome drink and assortment of canapés. Not to reveal too much but expect to find Whipped Camembert Mousse on a Walnut Scones with Glazed Figs, and Smoked Salmon Butter filled Squid Ink Profiteroles. Yum!
For starters Chef Stephen will tickle your taste buds with Sesame Seared Yellowfin Tuna paired with the recently released 2016 Lanzerac Sauvignon Blanc, gold medalist Chardonnay and the Mrs. English from the estate’s ultra-premium Heritage range of wines. A double cutlet of Boland Lamb served with a Beetroot Fondant, Goats’ Cheese, Split Beans and Bone Marrow awaits you for the main course. The selection of wines to accompany the lamb includes the Lanzerac Merlot, trophy winning Pinotage, Cabernet Sauvignon and the immensely appetizing Le Général red blend.
Be sure to leave space for dessert which is mouthwatering deconstructed Lemon Meringue served with Balsamic Marinated Strawberries, Mint Yoghurt spheres and Sesame glass. This decadent dessert will be enjoyed with the Lanzerac MCC Brut.
The cost of R495 per person includes the dinner and all wines served. Space is limited to only 30 guests and booking is essential. For bookings and queries contact Zelda Furstenburg on firstname.lastname@example.org or 021 886 5641.
