Private car sellers using classified site Gumtree are now guaranteed a willing buyer within 7 days via Buy Safe Sell Safe (B3S), a unique service that is aimed at facilitating vehicle transactions between individuals in a safe, secure and credible web based environment.
B3S is the evolution of Motofinn Solutions, which had offered safe facilitation of private vehicle sales to Gumtree users since July 2015, says Andrew Sutherland, Managing Director B3S. “We had conducted extensive market research into private vehicle sales and found that both buyers and sellers want to interact with each other on an individual level, but also retain the benefits and services associated with a motor dealership. This includes guaranteed, safe pay-outs and full vehicle inspection. B3S enables that need.”
B3S will replace the Motofinn service offering, however, all the previous benefits and services will remain unchanged.
Once a vehicle seller signs up with B3S for a once-off fee of R995, their vehicle will be inspected by DEKRA Automotive and a full DEKRA report will be generated detailing the condition of the vehicle including a roadworthy test. The seller will receive an offer within 7 days that will remain valid for 30 days – even if the car should fail the roadworthy inspection. However, the seller is not obligated to accept the offer. “Furthermore, we will help you promote your vehicle on Gumtree as a verified seller with the objective of securing you the price you feel your car is worth,” says Nick Hall B3S Director New Business Development. “The DEKRA inspection alone makes your car more marketable. With the assurance of the full backing of DEKRA supporting their findings and any recourse as a result thereof.
The payment process is secured and administered by Deloitte. “Deloitte will make payments on behalf of B3S to the seller from the proceeds of the successful sale and settle outstanding finance amounts with banks, in accordance with sound financial management processes and procedures. All buyers and sellers will be carefully vetted, and all paperwork and administration handled by B3S, including contracts, licensing and transfers. Vehicle ownership will be verified by TransUnion.”
Should potential buyers require finance, B3S specialise in arranging Finance, including settling existing vehicle finance loans.
