The logo has been designed in celebration of the rich historical legacy and multi-cultural background of George and the Garden Route. The teal blue evokes feelings of strength, trust, honesty and dependability indicative of George situated beneath the magnificent Outeniqua Mountains. The burnt orange colour represents the social, energetic and enthusiastic people of our town. The green colour evokes feelings of life and growth, nature and the outdoors all of which are an important aspect of life in George.

The George Heritage Festival will take place from 1 – 8th October and is being hosted to celebrate the shared culture, customs, traditions, sport, stories and memories of George passed on from parents, grandparents and families to our children.

All residents, visitors and friends of George will  participate in this celebration of culture and the diversity of our beliefs and traditions. The public is invited to contact the Heritage Festival Committee on info@georgefest.co.za for further information or to participate.
