New Dimension in Tourism Discussed

Slypsteen Development Centre’s Hans Oosthuizen and the Tourism Transformation Mission (TTM) held groundbreaking discussions with Braham van Zyl, Phd-candidate of Prof Erwin Schwella from the School for Public Leadership (SPL) and Greg van Schalkwyk, director of Slypsteen and also Head of the Academy for Science, Maths and Technology in Stellenbosch.

A not so new concept of tourism co-operations will lead the way for the Tourism Indaba that the Hessequa District is planning during November 2016.

Co-ops will also encourage local communities to become directly involved in tourism as planned by the TTM. A close working relationship has been established in Swellendam that will also benefit the Eden and Central Karoo Region and beyond.

Local tourism, spearheaded by projects like spiritual tourism and historical experiences will play a major part in establishing new dimensions in tourism.

The Slypsteen-TalkUBUNTU Platform from the Netherlands will be part of a well-organized venture where national and international tourism will benefit through entrepreneurship and the role that the TTM can play.
