1The medals were awarded to the Alchemy Merlot Malbec Cabernet Franc 2014, Alchemy Syrah Mourvèdre Grenache 2014, Alchemy Syrah Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 and Alchemy Chenin Blanc Semillon Sauvignon Blanc 2015.

The Gold Wine Awards is a consumer-judged competition that awards excellent value for money wines at a price of less than R100 to the consumer with Gold medals. This competition aims to make it easier for the consumer to make choices by commending wines that are extremely well priced.

Designed as an addition to Hartenberg’s current classic wines, which focuses on single cultivars, the Alchemy range allows cellar master Carl Schultz and his team to focus on the art of blending. Growing in popularity with wine consumers, blends allow wine makers to be more experimental with their offerings. The wines are available in a screw cap bottle with an elegantly designed label the Alchemy range is vibrant and youthful – ideal for any occasion.  Easy everyday drinking wines yet with the guarantee of quality craftsmanship. Perfect for the entry-level wine consumer as well as wine aficionados preferring interesting blends.

These award-winning value for money wines are currently available, nationwide from select retail outlets, and retail for approximately R55 to R69 per bottle.
