Fundraise for Greenpop at the Two Oceans Marathon

Do you want to be a part of restoring the beautiful indigenous forests of Southern Africa? You can by fundraising for Greenpop at the the Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon. Lace up your running shoes and get active (not anxious) for the environment. Become a part of planting over 200 indigenous trees!

1Run With Greenpop

Running for a cause has never been easier (or had more incentives) than this. The first 10 runners to raise enough funds for 20 trees will receive a free entry into the Two Oceans Half Marathon on 15th April 2017.

Get involved by following these steps:

  1. Create a GivenGain page,
  2. Start fundraising for #RunForTrees
  3. Be among the first 10 to meet their fundraising goal (deadline 26th February 2017)
  4. #RunForTrees – it’s as simple as that!

On top of a free entry, runners will also get prizes based on their level of fundraising.

The first 10 runners to raise enough funds for 20 Trees (ZAR 2 400) will receive:

  • The Two Oceans race entry
  • A special Greenpop Tree Certificate
  • A Greenpop bandana/buff

If a runner goes above and beyond and raises enough funds for 35 Trees (ZAR 4 200) they will receive:

  • The Two Oceans race entry
  • A special Greenpop Tree Certificate
  • A Greenpop buff
  • A Greenpop goodie bag

Already have a race entry? Not to worry! Runners can still decide to raise trees and run for Greenpop after receiving a marathon entry through other means and are still eligible for the amazing Goodie bags and prizes.

The runner that raises the most trees of all #RunForTrees activists will win an exciting grand prize (stay tuned for prize details).

The Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon
The 2017 Old Mutual Two Oceans Half Marathon will take place on 15th April 2017. For entry into the half marathon, prospective runners are encouraged to submit an online ballot application, through which all runners will have an equal, but not guaranteed, chance of being drawn and selected to race.

As an extra incentive to run for a cause, runners are encouraged to join organisations such as Greenpop for a guaranteed entry into the race.
