SWD Women ready for battle in East London

The SWD Women’s team is ready to proof a point when they travel to East London this weekend in their second round of matches in the Cricket South Africa Provincial Women’s competition.

The SWD ladies will take on Border at Buffalo Park in East London in a limited over match on Saturday and a T20 match on Sunday.

The coach, Eric Jacobs, who is at the helm for the fourth season will be keen to win the pool stage and advance to the elite group. SWD, KwaZulu Natal, KZN Inland, Border and Kei all forms part of the same pool.

In their only previous matches, the SWD ladies lost their limited over match against KwaZulu Natal Inland (125/2) by 8 wickets after they posted 124. In the T20 match, they recorded an impressive 10 wicket victory after they bowled out the home team for 60.
