Seven years after their very successful first collaboration, “Art of Rock”, which left audiences screaming for more, Zip Zap and the Parlotones once again join forces to present a magical mix of aerial and acrobatic mastery set perfectly in sync with the band’s rock music.
‘25 LIVE: A night at the circus’ will take place in grand style at the Artscape Opera House on the evenings of 30, 31 August and 01 September 2017.
#25LIVE is directed by the combined talents of Brent van Rensburg (Zip Zap co-founder) and Kahn Morbee (Parlotones lead singer). It promises to be a night of wonder, combining the comedy and awe-inspiring feats of circus with all the band’s home-grown hits. You do not want to miss it!
“We have put an incredible amount of hard work into this event, and now our performers are ready to show you their talent. Not only is it a celebration of 25 years of ‘Inspiring Kids for Life,’ it is also a fundraiser for the Zip Zap Academy, a dream which is about to become a reality,” says van Rensburg. The Zip Zap Academy is a new premises in Salt River, Cape Town which will provide much needed space to allow even more eager children to benefit from the circus school. As a Non Profit Organisation, all lessons are provided at no cost to children from all walks of life where they learn a unique talent and vital life skills for the future. “It is through friends like the Parlotones and Artscape who collaborate with us for this unique fundraiser that the goal of daring kids to dream continues to grow,” adds van Rensburg.
