Online shopping is definitely taking off in South Africa with more and more consumers appreciating the convenience of ordering what you want and having it delivered to your door. And with this, more and more online stores are taking advantage of a relatively new (in South Africa) way of doing business. So, what really sets The Beautiful Store apart in an area that is becoming more commonplace? “There are quite a few online stores doing what we are doing and while we have some exciting developments in our current planning stage, we know that over and above what sets us apart is not only our excellent service but our personalised one. Probably the most exciting development though has been our Loyalty Program where customers can earn Beauty Star Rewards simply by signing up where they receive a R50 voucher or by sharing and purchasing,” explains Colby “It is our way of saying thank you on an ongoing basis”.

The Beautiful Store has recently seen a revamp with a fresh, new, easier to navigate store and while there is planned development over the next 3 months, it already showcases some amazing brands such as Philosophia Botanica, Beautiful Earth, Human+Kind, stila, eos, Decléor, Xtreme Lashes and Caribbean Tan amongst others. “Our product list continues to grow with brands we see as a natural fit – exceptional quality while doing business with kindness which is very important to us.  However, you can have the best products but if you don’t look after your customers, build trust and deliver great service, it means nothing.  Especially online where trust really is crucial. Repeat business or referrals are the biggest compliment you can have”.

The Beautiful Store has also brought out their very own brand, Tara & Jack, with its first range being exceptional face and eye masks with the product being created in France and all packaging and everything else being done locally. “We wanted to have something of our very own on the store and thought skin care accessories such as masks would be brilliant fun to do. And it has been. Finding the right product and formulating it in France, a place close to our hearts, has been another dream come true”.
