South African Tourism is currently hosting the ‘We do Tourism’ provincial roadshows in an effort to provide a platform for dialogue between the organisation and its key stakeholders in moving the tourism industry forward.
The roadshows have been an opportunity for stakeholders to share information on successes and constraints, as well as discuss crucial issues with an emphasis on strategic alignment in implementing the National Tourism Strategy of 5-in-5; attracting five million more tourists in the next five years.
During the webinar, SA Tourism CEO, Sisa Ntshona, and Chief Marketing Officer, Margie Whitehouse, will update the trade on the roadshows, the collaborative efforts to promote alignment of provincial tourism authority initiatives and those of SA Tourism to culminate in signed performance agreements, as well as how the relationships are going to be sustained beyond the roadshows.
Ntshona has highlighted the need for SA Tourism to collaborate with various tourism entities in the private and public sectors to collectively define what success for the industry will look like.
He adds that the roadshows allow the industry to outline how to implement the 5-in-5 strategy through alignment on performance plans and target setting, exploring the best utilisation of joint marketing resources to benefit all, as well as the best ways to position provinces to get the best value out of partnering with SA Tourism.
The webinar, hosted by SA Tourism and Tourism Update, will take place on Wednesday, July 26 at 12h30 South African time, during which Ntshona and Whitehouse will take questions from listeners.
