Pacaltsdorp United, who posted 208/8 in their allotted 50 overs, caused a major upset in this weekend’s premier league competition when they defeated Union Stars (206 all out) by 2 runs in a nail-biting match at the Bridgton Sports Ground.
Ruall De Reuck (58), Rowan Groenewald (55) and Jermaine Jeona (41) all added valuable contributions with the bat.
Mossel Bay (175 all out) were too strong for Pioneers (84 all out) and recorded a comprehensive 91 runs bonus point victory with Jacques Budricks (52*) with the bat and (3/10 with the ball) who produced a match winning all round performance.
Harlequins Forces (86/4) was victorious by 6 wickets at the Military Sport Club as they dismissed George for 85.
