Red Carpet Fashion Show 2017 Moves to Vista Marina

Cape Town’s couture calendar event – The Red Carpet Fashion Show 2017 in partnership with Bella Tydskrif and Prestige Magazine, on Saturday 2 December – is moving to Vista Marina at the V&A Waterfront for a premium soiree in an unsurpassed summer setting.

With a Mediterranean flair in a pristine marina environment, this year’s event will be showcasing the celebrated summer collections of local and international designers: Shana & Stefania Morland, The Hive Fashion, Jekyll & Hide luxury leather luggage, M Couture, Vilebrequin, Lola Romon, Tom Ford and Gucci Eyewear; and for the first time in SA Jacques LaGrange will be showing his esteemed New York Fashion Week collection! “In a time of opulence, we need to reflect on the past… to take us back to basics. True elegance, style and class” notes LaGrange.

“Each year we bring together the finest ensemble of designers and designer brands to highlight upcoming trends and global influences. We are completely ecstatic about this year’s fantastic mix of designers and cannot wait to show Cape Town what they have in store!” Says Jade Allen, Managing Director of Red Carpet Concepts and founder of the Red Carpet Fashion Show. “We chose Vista Marina as it speaks luxury, sophistication and understated opulence in a premium setting ideally aligned to our vision for RCFS 2017.”

From 5pm VIP guests can enjoy a yacht cruise with bubbly before the show, and grand arrival to a jetty flourished with Pongracz Disederius, cocktails, canapes and cool beats by DJ Creamer and Anthea Scholtz from 6 – 8pm. Guests are also privy to an exclusive art exhibition, by Ana Kuni and Linnea Frank, mounted on metallic gold canvasses. “Our mantra throughout the design process was the idea of empowerment through art” says Kuni.

Interactive pop up bars by ghd, Catrice Cosmetics and FoxBox manicures will offer guests ample pre-show pampering. Hosted by celebrity emcees Jade Hubner and Tracey Lange, and featuring the beautiful Mishka Patel, the Red Carpet Fashion Show will commence at 8pm sharp with intermittent music and dance performances by Francesca Biancoli and Tulu Entertainment.

Continuing the party Lady M will be djing, spinning Ibiza Sunset tracks to take us into the night. Each gest will receive a gift bag on their way out, compliments of Catrice and other lovely take home treats.
