SWD Cricket League results

Two strong contenders for a place in the play-off rounds of the SWD Premier League, Union Stars and George, both recorded bonus point victories during the past weekend’s fixtures.  Union Stars remains at the top of the log after the weekend’s fixtures.

Union Stars (192 all out) defeated George (101 all out) by 91 runs while Mossel Bay who scored 278/4 thanks to a century by Tony Ferreira (113*) was too strong for Pacaltsdorp (66 al out) and was victorious by 212 runs.

Pirates (106/5) recorded their first victory of the season after they reached the winning runs in the 25th over after they cheaply dismissed Western Hope for 105 runs.  Pioneers from Plettenberg Bay posted a competitive 194 (all out) before they dismissed Ramblers for 150 (all out) for a 44 runs victory.
