Albertina fire
Temperature is 20 Degrees Celsius, the wind is light moderate (Sout-Eastern). Complete overcast with a persistent drizzle.
Fire on the Southern side of the mountain almost dead due to the drizzle, but will be monitored for flare-ups.
Langkloof
Langkloof fire is still active (despite the drizzle). Back-burns are been put in place to contain the fire. Fire on the north side of the mountain only smouldering, no open flames visible and alight drizzle just started.
Overall looking good and we pray that the drizzle persists.
Ruitersbos fire
Plantation – mopping-up and fire break construction taking place. No open flames but many smouldering firelines. Eastern flank – mopping-up and monitoring. Southern flank – mopping-up and monitoring. Western flank (Mooihoek) many hotspots, active fire creeping down towards infrastructure. Fire break construction and mopping up taking place.
