Boland too strong for SWD Women

The former Protea Women’s player, Alicia Smith, was the hero for Boland during the past weekend’s Cricket South African Women’s Competition. Boland, who took on SWD at Eurolux Boland Park in Paarl recorded victories in both the limited over and T20 match.

Smith’s unbeaten century (102*) in the limited overs match enabled Boland to post a competitive score of 229/4 where after they dismissed SWD for 134 to record a comprehensive 95 runs victory.

In the T20 match, Boland who again batted first, scored 122/1 thanks to an unbeaten half-century by Smith (57*). SWD went down by 32 runs after they replied with 90/8.
