Are you looking for an entry into this year Cape Town Cycle Tour? Would you like to get fit, make new friends, discover the Cape Peninsula, do good for 2’000 children and have plenty of fun along the way?
Look no further! Join the Zip Zap cycling team and be part of the change: you will contribute to their R 100 000 goal, which will go straight towards their social circus programmes.
Zip Zap’s mission is to ‘Inspire Kids for Life’ and since their inception in 1992 they have been doing exactly that. Zip Zap provides kids (including youth-at-risk) with the resources to develop skills, through the medium of circus arts that will develop them as young leaders, contributing citizens, and ambassadors for South Africa, and make them eminently employable. By joining the energetic team of Zip Zappers doing the cycle tour this year you will be helping them continue their mission.
“This year I am cycling for Zip Zap because like all our projects throughout the year it is challenging but rewarding, you meet incredible people on the way, you learn life lessons daily, and you just get to become the best person you can,” says Laurence Esteve, Zip Zap CEO and co-founder.
No time to cycle? Why not sponsor a Zip Zap trainee to cycle for you?
Zip Zap still has five spaces to fill. Join the Zip Zap team of cyclists and get:

“Having been part of the Zip Zap team for almost a year, I frequently get to witness the courage and determination of our Zip Zappers tackling some seriously challenging circus techniques. After just a few awe-inspiring minutes, I often find myself marveling at how amazing it is to be a part of an establishment that encourages kids to try new things through activity and play, and to see this turn into a motivation to achieve. This motivates me to challenge myself too” says Anja Mulder, Monitoring & Evaluation Manager at Zip Zap and cycling with the Zip Zap team.
The funds raised by this initiative will go towards Zip Zap’s programmes (4 youth, 4 outreach and 1 professional), which are free to all participants and offer valuable social and performance skills. You can be the one paving the way to the next professional performer who will thrill crowds across South Africa and the world.
