The SWD Cricket team will be heading north to Windhoek this weekend where they will take on Namibia in their 7th Sunfoil Cup Three Day competition match starting on Thursday.
In their six previous outings Brendon Louw and his team failed to record a victory but they are still unbeaten as all five matches ended in a draw. Although the SWD team produced some encouraging performances they will be hoping to bowl out the opposition twice to secure a much needed victory. Coach, Baakier Abrahams, will be satisfied that all his players showed good form recently and a good team effort will be vital to produce the desired results.
In their last match against Northern Cape, the men from the Southern Cape, produced a fine performance but was denied an opportunity when more that 80 overs could not be bowled due to rain.
The SWD squad for the weekend is: Neil Hornbuckle, Lotli Sesele, Sammy-Joe Avontuur, Daniel Sincuba, Obus Pienaar, Hanno Kotze, Brendon Louw, Marcello Piedt, Glenton Stuurman, Tsepiso Ndwandwa, Mthobeli Bangindawo, Justin Jordaan and Bradley de Villiers will be added for the limited over match.
