Outeniqua High School, on Friday, were crowned the Coca-Cola Schools T20 championships when they defeated Langenhoven Gymnasium of Oudtshoorn by 21 runs in the final. It is the first time since 2012 that Outeniqua won this competition.
Outeniqua, who batted first, posted 109/8 in their allotted 20 overs whereafter they dismissed Outeniqua for 88 runs (in the 18th over).
In the play-off for the third place, Bridgton Senior Secondary School (90/6) recorded a four (4) wicket victory against Point High School who scored 89/9 in their 20 overs.
The play-off matches to determine the Western Cape winner that will advance to the CSA National final’s will take place in Cape Town this weekend.
