Invitation to the FIRST ADVENTURE TOURISM Indaba & Expo for the Garden Route
It is with great pleasure that we wish to invite your company/organization to the FIRST Adventure
Tourism Indaba & Expo for the Garden Route.
This will be an annual premier business to business / public exhibition organized and managed by
Thousand Sensations in collaboration with Duke Air and Interface by Goji PR & Events.
DAY ONE: Indaba and Indoor Expo:
Both the Indaba and the Indoor Expo will take place at the Wilderness Hotel. The Indaba will be held
on the 26th of October 2018 from 09H00 to 13H00 with the Theme – “The future of adventure
tourism in the Garden Route”. The Indoor Exhibition will be open to the public, from 14H00 to
20H00. The geographical area of the Indaba includes the area between Riversdale in the West,
Plettenberg Bay in the East and Prince Albert in the North.
During the six days in January 2018 at the Vakansiebeurs in Utrecht, Nederland, it became evident
that the Adventure Tourism activities in the Garden Route are not that well known to International
Adventure Tourists. The opportunity exists to establish the Garden Route as the preferred Adventure
Tourism Region of the World, showcasing more than 100 distinctive adventure tourists’ products.

The Indaba has the following Focus Areas:
- The Social and Economic contribution of Adventure tourism to the Region;
- Intergraded marketing towards the establishment of the Garden Route as a preferred
Adventure Region of the world; - Assessment of the value and contribution of Modern Technology and Apps eg: ( Adventure
Tourism Destination App ) and social media – Facebook, Trip advisor, GPS Tracking Units; - Challenges and solutions to ensure the safety of Adventure Tourist and,
- Understanding Adventure Tourism trends and markets on National and International Level.
DAY TWO: The Outdoor Interactive Expo:
The 27th of October 2018 on the World renowned Map of Africa – The Inter Active Expo from 08H00
to 16H00. A day with exciting interactive events for young and old give exhibitors the opportunity to
showcase from the smallest pocket knife to Deep Sea boating, equipment and accessories for all the
adventure tourism activities. The day also offers interactive activities for the whole family, Food &
Beverages Stalls and Life music.
Interactive Program for the day includes the following activities but not limited:
- Mountain Biking;
- Fun endurance Bikes;
- Quad Bikes;
- Trail Running;
- Drone Race and Treasure hunt;
- Forest Horse Trails and
- Multi-Discipline Adventure Race ( Tour of Africa in one Day )

Wilderness Hotel 26th of October 2018 the Indaba R250.00 per person including Lunch
Exhibitors Information:
Wilderness Hotel Indoor exhibition: R500.00 per Stall
Map of Africa at Woodifields Outdoor exhibition: R1000.00 per Stall
Public Entry Fee:
Friday: FREE
Saturday: R80.00 per person R30.00 for Children older than 12 for Children Younger than 12 free
entrance.
