Corli Botha – the Face of Rooibos 2018

The Face of Rooibos is a big attraction in the upcoming National Rooibos Day on 16 January 2019, and is the proud public ambassador of the South African Rooibos industry.

This individual is elected by die organizers of National Rooibos Day and represents the Rooibos industry and the plant’s diverse potential in a local and even global capacity.

With her unique Rooibos recipes and tips on infusing techniques for Rooibos confectionary and dishes, Corli Botha – 2016 winner of popular baking competition Koekedoor – is sure to take the world of Rooibos to new heights.

Since she was able to roll out her first chunk of dough, Corli knew she wanted to live her passion for baking. With her very own cookbook – Corli se Kombuis – on the shelves, this astonishing lady has achieved many milestones in her life and is going stronger than ever in the culinary industry.

Her cookbook features recipes inspired by the time she spent living in France, and also recipes from her younger years. As the Face of Rooibos, she will utilise her creativity to introduce recipes that uniquely incorporate Rooibos.

One of South Africa’s leading Rooibos brands, Rooibos Ltd, is the proud sponsor of the Face of Rooibos 2018. This is what Communications Manager Gerda de Wet has to say about being part of the campaign.

“With Corli Botha representing the industry as the Face of Rooibos, we’re expecting exciting things. Corli often uses Rooibos in her baking and we believe her public popularity, coupled with her talents in the kitchen, will appeal to the public.”

The aim of the Face of Rooibos campaign is to encourage the use of the uniquely South African product in its entirety. Rooibos Day aims to connect the world in sharing its love for this uniquely South African plant.

With her passion for cooking, Corli Botha will be showcasing how to incorporate the usage of the indigenous Rooibos plant from South Africa in the kitchen.
