Jean du Plessis, the first SWD cricketer to be selected for the SA U/19 team, received the Award as Junior Sportsman of the Year at the Eden Sport Awards Function that was held at Oudtshoorn on Friday evening.
In January 2018 he represented South Africa at the International Cricket Council U/19 Cricket World Cup in New Zealand.
He was also selected for the SA U/19 team that toured England during July 2018. The tour included two four-day Youth Test matches and three Youth One-Day Internationals.
