BUFFELSNEK/KRANSBOS – One Garden Route District Municipality (GRDM) skid unit and one tanker, together with Working on Fire (WoF), are currently busy with the final phase of mopping-up operations.

DIEPWALLE AREA – Intensive mopping-up operations took place today. PG Bison will monitor the area throughout the evening and tomorrow .

GEELHOUTBOOM TO JONKERSBERG – Cape Nature active with mopping-up operations at the southern section of the mountain.

Monitoring is taking place in the Groenkloof area.

Resources will be focused a lot on PATROLLING and EXTINGUISHING any visible SMOKE POCKETS.

Monitoring and mopping-up operation will take place throughout the day.  Focus areas, Jonkersberg south, Buffelsnek/Bavaria and Diepwalle/Dubbelberg. Teams have been placed in areas to monitor any flare-ups.

Mopping- up under the plantation to secure all smouldering. Mopping-up on Div T.
Monitor flare-ups and hotspots on divisions.

Branch I (West)
Mopping- up under the plantation to secure all smouldering.
Mopping-up on div S to clean-up Keistervaring in gulfs.

Branch II (South, Div Z)
Patrol divisions from George along 7 Passes to Karatara.
Secure and mopping-up of all hotspots.

Branch II (South, Div N)
Secure hotspots and continue with mopping-up operations in the Diepvalle area.

Branch III (North, Div X)
No resources needed.

Branch III (North, Div Y)
Identify & extinguish all visible hotspots.
Mopping-up and construct breaks where necessary.
