SWD, who dominated pool B of the Cricket South Africa provincial limited over competition for the majority of the season, ended the season on a low after they suffered a disappointing 46 runs defeat against Eastern Province at the Recreation Ground in Oudtshoorn on Sunday.
EP who won the toss and batted first were restricted to 92/5 (in the 25th over) but a lack of application in the bowling department and with their fielding skills allowed the visitors to amassed 246/6. The SWD team ended pool B in the second position at 28 points – and improvement on the previous season where the aggregate 23 points.
