WESSA Eden Newsletter April 2019

Dear Friends of the Environment,

another “business” year has passed for WESSA Eden and for the AGM on the 15th April we invite Members and Non-Members to join us from 18h00 at the Environmental Education Centre in the Botanical Garden for our 5-star speaker, Mark Dixon.

Cheese and Wine will be offered and we would appreciate RSVPs for catering purposes. We look forward to a good turnout!

More details in the Newsletter.

10 April 2019 mini symposium Protecting Wild Bees

The on-going attacks on our trees by the Polyphagous Shot Hole Borer Beetle is becoming of even greater concern.

Please talk to professional gardeners and your garden service about their observations and ask them to share with Dr Jaap Steenkamp. (Details in the Newsletter).

And for those interested in bees and willing to travel to Robertson, the attached document gives more details on Conservation at Work’s mini symposium on “Protecting our wild bees whilst securing food production”.

Enjoy the read!

Regards, Christine
