The popular singer, Samantha Leonard, just released her latest single and music video, Vat ‘n Kans. Following hit singles such as ‘n Duisend Keuses and Jou Hart Sal Heel Raak that still proves to be fan favourites and still dominates radio charts countrywide.
“Vat ‘n Kans is written by me and comes from my heart. I personally went through a very difficult relationship in which someone really hurt me, while I trusted this person with my whole heart. After such experience there’s so much emotions as if you’ll never be able to find love again, but it’s when you least expect it, that you meet someone special to dry your tears and heal your heart. Always remember, although you’ve been hurt, take the chance, perhaps this will be your soulmate,” explains Samantha.
The single was recorded by Muse Productions. Ryno Mans from RM Productions and Samantha herself directed the music video.
The video was based on Samantha’s concept and her idea was to portray her personal experiences, just like her album’s other songs.
“The music video had two sets. We started off at the beautiful ALLURE BEAUTY & SPA, a jewel in the heart of Benoni, where me and my friends get ready for a night out or before I get on stage. Lastly, we attended a private house party where we gathered as a larger group. We met new people and in the end found love in each other. We wanted to shoot a car scene using a drone, but we’ve just started when the drone hit a tree and we had to can the idea. Everything worked out well in the end,” Samantha added.
