The SAMA25 stage will explode into action when the annual music award ceremony gets underway on Saturday night.
Easily the hottest line up boasting some of the biggest names in the land, this will be the biggest celebration of the weekend.
There are some great not-to-be missed moments and delightful surprises in store for those in the Superbowl and viewers on SABC1.
We take it back into time with old school tunes in the Throwback segment with memorable tracks performed by legendary bands Bongo Maffin and Trompies and many more kwaito legends.
On the Traditional front brace yourself for a medley of dance and vocals led by the legend of the bow and arrow Madosini as well as the iconic Mahotella Queens. Dancers from Tswelelang Cultural Dancers and VhaVenda Cultural Group complete the performance.
SAMA25 nominees Sjava and Mlindo The Vocalist will have the Superbowl on its feet as they perform in the Maskandi/Urban section along with Mbuzeni and others.
Powerful voices will raise the roof as gospel legend Rebecca Malope joins the likes of SAMA25 nominee Ntokozo Mbambo for a rousing Gospel segment.
The In Memoriam section promises to be as stirring as emotional with a surprise act.
To shut down the night, standby for a rapturous finale featuring the best of the best in kwaito, gqom and amapiano such as SAMA25 nominees Kelly Khumalo, Sho Madjozi, DJ Sumbody, Dladla Mshunqisi and Mobi Dixon.
Nhlanhla Sibisi, RiSA CEO shared: ‘This is a celebration fit for 25 years of SAMA. The line up speaks volumes of the magnitude of this ceremony. We are proud of all the musicians who will engender the spirit of festivity and revelry with their talent. SAMA25 will be a memorable one.’
