Friday Morning Edition

Good morning all,

The SA Junior Boy’s Golf Team are on the brink of winning the World Cup with WP’s Sam Simpson set to win individual honours.  The only other time this has happened was when Louis Oosthuizen and Charl Schwartzel lead the team.  What should make us all here on the Garden Route extremely proud is that two of the four members of the team, Martin Vorster and Christo Lamprecht, are from Mossel Bay – take a minute to absorb that!

Greenpop’s 2019 Eden Festival of Action around the corner.  Printed Oyster Festival programmes now available.

SA Juniors take a healthy lead into the final round at the World Champs.  The Vic Bay Classic gets off to a magnificent start.  The latest George and Fancourt Golf Club Newsletters.

Johnson and Hunt the last two left standing but Johnson still the favourite to move into No. 10.  Irish premier says EU getting impatient with Brexit.  Fortunately, Johnson is hell-bent on Brexit – deal or no deal.  EU extends sanctions on Russia to 2020.  US Senate blocks Trump’s plans to sell weapons to Saudi Arabia – guess they don’t understand the choice between the lesser of two evils.  Xi meets Kim ahead of the US-China summit.

The big black hole that is Eskom gets even deeper.  At least Ramaphosa has put the SARB conflict to bed.  SONA’s 7-point plan – ambition or madness?

JSE and the Rand recover slightly.

Folau gets massive financial support from fans.  Fiji and Japan could join the Rugby Championships.  Why are we talking about progressing from groups?  SA should be better than that.  The Beast’s book delayed because Snorre’s feelings were hurt.  The Proteas now probably at the lowest point since readmission – which way will they go?  Until we get rid of the current administrators, it’s down I’m afraid.  There’s far more to the AB de Villiers story than we’re being told.
