Wednesday Morning Edition

Good morning all,

There’s a planned power outage in George.

The Kurland Forest Triathlon will take place on 27 June.  The latest George Golf Club Newsletter.

I have a feeling that the Washington press corps will soon be wishing Sarah was back behind the mike.  Google is planning to sabotage Trump’s 2020 campaign.  The Feds considers lowering the rate.  Turkey needs to choose whose side they’re on.  France is, at least, paying lip service to the sanctions against Iran – not sure how serious they are though.  Venezuela’s Maduro may yet fall.  Iran remains defiant.

Trumps sends Africa a chilling warning – don’t borrow money from China and then expect the USA to bail you out.  PIC to take disciplinary action against some poor scapegoats.  Get rid of Jiba and Mrwebi already.  DA accuses Ramaphosa of allowing the Zuma faction to take charge.  Denel workers will be paid before Friday.

Gordhan confirms that Eskom will be unbundled – right into the hands of Ramaphosa, Motsoepe and Co?  JSE slips on risk aversion, but the Rand firms on Fed rate cut rumours.  What will happen when the government can no longer borrow more to bail out the SOE’s?

AFCON wrap.  Australia knocks England down another peg.  Brian Lara rushed to hospital with chest pains.  Rassie Erasmus remains one of the few beacons of hope left in SA sport.

Planned Power Outage – portion Ramaphosa East line
