Revision of Air Quality Management Plan for the Garden Route District

In follow up to the previous notification sent to you in this regard (28 May 2019), please find this notification regarding the availability of the Draft Air Quality Management Programme for the Garden Route District Municipality.

As required in terms of the National Environment Management: Air Quality Act (NEM:AQA, 39 of 2004), the Garden Route District Municipality (GRDM) is in the process of revising their existing Air Quality Management Plan (AQMP) which was compiled in 2012/13 for the Garden Route District.

GRDM has appointed Lethabo Air Quality Specialists (Pty) Ltd (LAQS) to undertake the review and revision of the existing AQMP.

Cape EAPrac, has been appointed by LAQS to facilitate the public participation associated with the review of this AQMP.

You have been identified as potential interested and / or affected stakeholder for the revision process. This communiqué serves to provide notification that the Draft Air Quality Management Plan is now available for review and comment.

Kindly note that the available documentation includes The Draft Air Quality Management plan for the Garden Route District, as well as those for the respective B Municipalities (George, Knysna, Bitou, Hessequa, Oudtshoorn and Kannaland).
