Join us on Sunday 4 August 2019 for another unforgettable day at Emmarentia Dam. Liefde By Die Dam, named after Valiant Swart’s famous hit song with the same name, showcases the best in local music. This is the perfect day out for all ages with a diverse line-up of acts, delicious food, a fully stocked bar and non-stop entertainment in a spectacular setting.
According to Jacaranda FM`s GM, Kevin Fine: “Liefde by die Dam 2019 promises to be another epic event – good music by some of SA`s top live acts, good company and good food in a great setting. Exactly the kind of stuff that we`re all about. It`s grown year-on-year since inception to one of the highlights on SA`s festival calendar. The 2019 line-up comprises of some of South Africa`s most successful and extraordinary artists and is sure to offer something special for every family member.
Die Heuwels Fantasties and Francois van Coke, rated as two of the most popular Afrikaans acts in our current SA Music landscape, had the Liefde by die Dam crowd on their feet last year and promises the same excitement at this year`s event. The super line-up also includes the multi award-winning songstress Tarryn Lamb; the groovy talents of Early B, top of their game alternative rock band Spoegwolf, the legendary Coenie de Villiers and the world renowned, multiple Grammy Award winning Soweto Gospel Choir. Great news is that two more acts have just been announced: Bouwer Bosch and Lucinda Neethling recently teamed up to record an EP and the very popular Martin Bester will also be performing on the day. Radio Raps will bring the wit to tie it all together as MC. Picture the magnificence of all of this and Liefde by die Dam 2019 is set to be a phenomenal concert experience.
Charlotte Kanter, Marketing Manager for Liefde by die Dam says that they are partnering with Bouwer Bosch and his Liefde Wen team again this year for the customary Liefde by die Dam blanket donations: “On 4 August, bring along a blanket to laze on whilst enjoying 8 hours of entertainment but leave it behind for a better cause! We will be donating all blankets to Liefde Wen so that they can keep the needy warm this winter! We collected more than 1000 blankets at last year`s event and we hope all of our 2019 attendees will get behind this worthwhile cause. We are aiming to collect 2000 blankets this year.”
The stage and premises at Emmarentia Dam are bigger for this year’s LBDD. Pierre Greeff of Die Heuwels Fantasties, who is also one of the organizers of the concert, says that the team is already working hard to provide an unforgettable concert experience. “There is a special charm to an outdoor venue. We have a lot of great music to share. Get ready, it’s going to be a huge party!”
