Steenberg toasts spring with annual trail run

Raise a glass of Sparkling Sauvignon Blanc with Steenberg Vineyards at their annual spring trail run which winds its way through undulating Constantia vines on Sunday, 1 September 2019.

The Steenberg Spring Trail Run takes you on a 5km or 10km loop to run or walk amidst the budding vineyards. All participants receive a glass of Steenberg Sparkling Sauvignon Blanc at the finish. This youthful, bottle fermented bubbly is fun, ultra-refreshing and fruity.

A portion of the proceeds as well as donations on the day will go towards helping the True North Vrygrond Early Childhood Development (ECD) project. True North partners with pre-school principals and teachers to provide quality care to young children in the Vrygrond community located near Muizenberg.

The trail run is set to kick off at 07h00 with a host of water and wine refreshment stations en route. Delicious breakfast treats and piping hot coffee will be available for purchase before the start and during the course of the morning from various food and coffee vendors. If you prefer a more formal offering be sure to reserve your table ahead of time at Bistro Sixteen82. Stick around after the race as there will be a host of great prizes up for grabs.

Both the 5km and 10km entries are priced at R180 per person with free entry for children under the age of 12. Booking is essential and tickets are available exclusively online at www.webtickets.co.za. Pre-race registration takes place from 15h00 – 18h00 outside the Steenberg Tasting Room on Thursday 29 and Friday 30 August. All pre-registered participants will receive a complimentary wine tasting voucher for two.
