Although the SWD cricket team had the upper hand for the most part of their Cricket South Africa Provincial three-day match against the Central Gauteng Lions this weekend they failed to deliver the knock-out punch to record an outright victory.
The Central Gauteng Lions (152/2) gave SWD a bloody nose on Sunday with a comprehensive 8 wicket bonus point victory at the Recreation Ground on Sunday.
The SWD provincial team will have a tough battle this weekend when they travel to Pretoria for a clash against Northerns. The three-day match will start on Thursday whilst the limited over match will be contested on Sunday.
