We are sad to announce that the 2020 Hi-Tec Garden Route Walking Festival has officially been suspended and postponed for now. Refunds are offered on all walks that have been paid for.
The opportunity is to take a solitary or family walk as a great way to practice social distancing while staying healthy and fit. . .
So, we encourage you to get out in your neighbourhood, take a walk and practice good hygiene along the way. Don’t sneeze on the neighbours, give a wide berth to strangers and kin, rather wave a smile and send good wishes, and of course wash those hands and spray down your boots on your return. Alternatively, break the monotony of cabin fever and plan what walks you will do when this challenging time passes. As it will.
The decision to postpone or cancel events has a social and economic impact for all of us, and becomes an invitation for each of us to rise to the challenge to stay safe, considerate, kind and healthy.
We thank our great sponsors at Hi-Tec South Africa for supporting our decision. To all our guides and walk leaders, your support for this event is an expression of immense community – thank you.
Together with our partners, we look forward to sharing updates regarding the festival in the future.
