WESSA Eden Newsletter August 2020

Dear Friends of the Environment,

please find attached the August Newsletter.

WESSA Eden NEWSLETTER August 2020

Shothole Borer Beetle Awareness Flyer

CALLING ALL RESIDENTS TO HELP CURB ILLEGAL DUMPING

ARTICLE COVID-19 forces the Southern Cape to shift gear

The Garden Route Botanical Garden August Newsletter is also just out! The good news is that the Garden is now open to all again.

The entrance fee for non-members is R20 per person. (With this price increase, we hope to recover at least a small portion of the revenue that was lost while the Garden was closed to the public.)

Alternatively, you can purchase an Annual Access Card or a Full Membership Card, which will give you access to the Garden over an extended period of time.

Only the Protea Entrance Gate will be used as an entrance and will be open from 07:30 to 18:00.

Other good news:

Spring Plant Sale 4-5 September

The Marshmallow Garden Cafe will be opening soon!

The full Newsletter can be accessed here:

In addition  :

the Shothole Borer Beetle is still of on-going concern – an Awareness Flyer is attached for your information.

An article from the local press – CALLING ALL RESIDENTS TO HELP CURB ILLEGAL DUMPING

And an article from GREF ( Garden Route Environmental Forum ) – COVID-19 forces the Southern Cape to shift gear

Enjoy the reading matter.

Regards, Christine
