The Six Gun Grill Garden Route Badgers, who were the runners-up in last season’s CSA Division 2 Four-Day competition will start their campaign this weekend when they travel to Willowmoore Park in Benoni where they will take on the Eastern Storm.
The Badgers will realize that there is very little margin for error and a solid start with an outright victory will be crucial. The Badgers will still be without their captain, Jean du Plessis, who is recovering from an injury, but this will allow other players to make the step up.
The Garden Route Badgers starting eleven is:
Onke Nyaku (captain), Blayde Capell, Matthew Christensen, Jhedli van Briesies, André Malan, Hanno Kotze, Sean Whitehead, Pheko Moletsane, Marcello Piedt, Jarred Jardine and Basheer Walters (pictured). Sintu Majiza and Keenan Vieira will form part of the travelling squad.
