The pool stages and preliminary rounds of the Six Gun Grill SWD Twenty/20 leagues were concluded the past weekend and although rain and wet outfields had the final say in some of the matches that were abandoned various fixtures were concluded.
The eight (8) teams that qualified for the quarter-finals that will be played next weekend (on 29 October) are:
Knysna Cavaliers vs George, Harlequins Forces vs Mossel Bay, Pacaltsdorp United vs Riversdale, Union Stars vs Sussex.
Onke Nyaku (pictured), the captain of the Garden Route Badgers was the star performer during the weekend. Playing for Mossel Bay he excelled with the ball with fixtures of 2/9 (against Mayflower) and 7/9 (against Kwanonqaba). He also posted a half-century (52) against Kwanonqaba.
