The Six Gun Grill Garden Route Badgers women’s team will host the Titans in the Cricket South Africa Top 6 women’s league competition at the Six Gun Grill Recreation Ground this weekend.
The Badgers, who were victorious in their previous match 50-over competition against the Lions before the competition took a break for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup that was hosted in South Africa last month, will be confident to build on their successes in this competition. Their supporters will be excited on the return of Protea heroes Tazmin Brits and Annerie Dercksen to the team. Miceala Andrews, Jané Winster will again be key players in the bowling department.
The Badgers (200/9) narrowly lost by 9 runs against the Titans (200 all out) in their previous limited over encounter at Supersport Park but won the T20 match by 9 wickets. The limited over match will be played on Saturday and the T20 match on Sunday.
