Michael Eksteen elected new SWD Cricket Vice President

Mr Michael Eksteen (from Pacaltsdorp United Cricket Club) who was elected as a non-independent director was elected as the new vice-president of South Western Districts Cricket (Non-Profit Company) at the a Members’ council meeting of the company that was held in Oudtshoorn on Saturday April, 22nd 2023.

Eksteen, who will serve in this portfolio for the next three years, replaced Mr Shael Laminie who resigned in December last year after being appointed as Senior Financial Accountant at SWD Cricket.

The vacant position of Non-Indpendent Director, with the resignation of Mr Laminie, will be filled by Ms Katrisha Strydom (from Union Stars CC) following her election.

The company will elect a new chairman and president of the Board at its Annual General meeting that will be held in July when the tenure of the serving president, Mr Rudy Claassen, will come to an end.
