The Six Gun Grill Garden Route Badgers u/16 team has produced an excellent performance at the Cricket South Africa national boys u/16 tournament that was hosted in Oudtshoorn last week.
The Badgers has won the Gold Section and recorded a nail-biting 7 runs victory against Free State in the promotion-relegation play-off match and will be promoted to the platinum section next year. The captain of the team, Joof Enslin, won the award as batsman of the tournament for scoring the most runs whilst his team mate from Outeniqua, Trent Huisamen, won the award as the most versatile player of the tournament. In the match against the North West Dragons, Huisamen scored his second half-century (51 from 32 balls and bagged 7/18 in six overs).
