The Southern Superstars have named their squad for the forthcoming Cricket South Africa Cubs week, which will take place from 5-9 January in the Winelands of Stellenbosch.
This team, who were picked from the Boland, Garden Route Badgers, and Western Province, was selected upon conclusion of the Cricket SA Khaya Majola National tournament that was hosted in Makanda in the Eastern Cape during December.
With seven Western Province players in their line-up the Superstars will be a force to reckoned with during the tournament.
In the batting department Benjamin Hansen, was named the SA Schools’ captain after an outstanding Khaya Majola week, will set the tone at the top order of the Superstars.
Two players from the Garden Route Badgers, Enathi Khitshini and Charl-Francois Marais earned their call-up after impressing the selectors with all-round performances. Wynand de Ridder will be the assistant coach of the team.
