The Six Gun Grill Garden Route Badgers suffered a nine-wicket defeat against the ITEC Knights in Bloemfontein the past weekend. The Knights are now the log leaders in the CSA Division 1 Four-Day competition.
The Badgers, who won the toss and opted to bat, were dismissed for a record-lowest score of 69 in their first innings. The Knights replied with 214 all out for a lead of 204. In their second innings, the Badgers posted 273 whereafter the Knights on the third morning reached the target of 129 with nine wickets in hand.

The Badgers will now face the Mpumalanga Rhinos at Oudtshoorn this weekend in their last four-day fixture of the competition. The Rhino’s will be on a high after their first-ever first-class victory the past weekend against the Eastern Storm. The loser of this match will finish top of the log in this competition.
