South Western Districts Cricket is ready to host the annual Cricket South Africa Rural tournament for Coastal provinces that will be based in Oudtshoorn – starting Thursday the 6th of February.
Eight teams will participate in the tournament namely Boland, Border Country, Border Alloes, Border Villages, Eastern Province Midlands, Eastern Province Grahamstown and the local team of the Garden Route Badgers.
EP Grahamstown are the defending champions.
The Garden Route Badgers Rural Team is: Jean Heunis (Captain), Anoxolo Kitshini (V/Captain),, Camron Avontuur, Geronovan Erasmus, Corné Kennedy, Charl-Francois Marais, Stefan May, Berthal September, Carlton Rasmus, Matthew Thorne, Jandré van Wyk, Tyrique Wessels and Yamkela Xakani.
The following venues will be used:
- Recreation Ground – 6,7 & 9 February
- Langenhoven Gymnasium – 6,7 & 8 February
- Oudtshoorn High School – 6,7,8 & 9 February
- Bridgton Sports Ground – 6,7,8 & 9 February 2025
- Rooirivier-Rif in George – 8 & 9 February 2025
