Anaxolo Kitshini, who represented the Garden Route Badgers in the recent Cricket South Africa (CSA) Rural tournament for Coastal provinces, was selected for the South African Rural XI team. Kitshini, who plays for Pacaltsdorp United Cricket Club is the older brother of the SA U/19 and SA Schools player, Inathi. The family hails from Thebalethu in George.
The team was selected from players playing in the recent Coastal and Rural tournaments of CSA. The CSA Rural XI will play be in action against the SA Forces XI at St George’s Park in Gqeberha on the 15th of March.
Pieter Stuurman, who coached the Garden Route Badgers Rural team, was appointed as the coach of the SA Rural team.
