The Garden Route Badgers women’s team has done it again! The Badgers, thanks to a record-breaking unbroken partnership of 151 runs for the 3rd wicket between Julia Hoal and Izel Cilliers, defeated the Dolphins by 8 wickets in their Hollywoodbets Pro50 series encounter at Kingsmead in Durban on Saturday. This victory was undoubtedly the biggest achievement for women’s cricket in the SWD. Two weekends ago, the Badgers women also rolled over Western Province.

Nicolien Janse van Renburg (2/35) and Yolandi Potgieter (2/30) each bagged two wickets.
The Badgers’ run chase was anchored with a brilliant maiden century for Julia Hoal, who made 105 not out (148 balls; 12×4). She received valuable support from the Irish international, Gabby Lewis (47) and Izelle Cilliers 70* (75 balls; 1×6, 9×4).
